Ranjib biswas is a reputed percussionist born in the family of renowned musicians and completed his graduation in fine arts in 1970. He completed M.A from VISVA BHARATI UNIVERSITY, SANTINIKETAN. He is an ardent deciple of Pandit Shankar Ghosh of Rarukhabad Gharana. Currently, he is working as an Asst. Professor at Faculty of Music, University of Delhi. Ranjb gives various solo performances and is an accomplished Tabla Player. He has also had the opportunity to perform with many reputed artists. He is also proficient in playing PAKHAWAJ, GHATTAM, KHANJIRA, CANGO, DJIMBE, DRUM etc. He has mentored more than 700 artists till date to be more polished in their profession. He believes that if one has talent, then a little guidance can take one to places beyond imagination. All that is required is hard work in right direction.
